What do I do if service profiles are not showing up in my area?

This may be caused by the following:

1. You need to share your location with ServiceLynks or input your location by clicking “Input Location.” ServiceLynks will then display profiles that are closest to you.

2. There are not any listings for the service you are looking for in your area at this time.

3. Try another keyword for your search (example: “plumbing” instead of “plumber” or “child care” instead of “babysitter”)

My “Lynk Ad” is not showing up. What do I do?

Be sure to complete each step of posting a “Lynk Ad”. Your ad will NOT be placed until you click “Place ad without images” or “Finish” depending on whether or not you include images.

Parts of ServiceLynks and/or my location is not displaying correctly. What do I do?

Clear the cache history in your browser and refresh ServiceLynks.

Do you perform background checks on your pros?

We do not do this at this time. However, if we find any of our pros to be participating in illegal or shady/unprofessional behavior, we can and will remove them from ServiceLynks.

Do you offer a guarantee of the work done by pros?

We do not. We strongly advise you to research your pros, and exercise all caution when making arrangements for service and payments. See below for more info

What do you recommend for users to safely and successfully book and use pros?

We recommend the following when booking pros for ServiceLynks or from any site:

1. Always trust your instincts- if something doesn’t feel right, then look into another option

2. If an offer sounds too good to be true, it often is. Get quotes from multiple pros. Ask for references. Ask to see examples of other work (if applicable)

3. Always be cautious when someone asks for all of their payment up front. (depending on the type of service you need) Some jobs may require upfront deposits for materials and to start work but typically, pros do not require payment in full before doing a job.

4. Report any unusual, unprofessional, or illegal activity to ServiceLynks.

FAQ for Service Pros

Who can list their service profile on ServiceLynks?

Anyone who provides a service is welcome to list on ServiceLynks, as long as it is legal. We welcome anyone from teenagers looking to babysit and mow lawns to industry experts. ServiceLynks is not meant to promote or advertise products.

What happens if I want to remove my profile listing before my 1 year is up?

ServiceLynks offers a 30 day refund policy. If you choose to remove your profile within 30 days, you will receive a full refund. If you choose to remove it after 30 days, the profile will be taken down but there is no refund.

What happens if I do not renew my profile listing at the end of a year?

Your profile will be moved to “pending” status and will be held there until you renew. It will not show up in results. All information will be saved, or you can choose to delete the profile in your account.

Can I edit my profile listing?

You can edit your profile and info any time and as much as you like in your account.

Can I have my profile featured or promoted at the top of profile listings?

ServiceLynks does not offer any other featured or promoted ad options other than those included with the Pro Listings in order to give every service pro an equal opportunity to be selected based on reviews and content of their profile.

Are there any additional fees besides the flat rate listed?

No. There are no additional costs or hidden fees for a profile listing. The only additional cost is if you choose to create more than 1 profile. See below for additional information.

What if my business has multiple locations/provides services throughout the country?

ServiceLynks is meant to help individuals find local services. If your business has multiple locations, you can enter those locations on your profile or create separate profiles for all of your business locations. If you choose to create a Pro Listing, there is a fee for EACH profile you create.

What if I am an independent individual that provides multiple types of services?

You are welcome to create a profile to showcase yourself and all your services. You can select multiple categories for your services on a single profile when you choose a Pro Listing option.

What do I do if I don’t feel like my service fits any of the listed categories?

Just send us a message through the contact form and let us know what your service is and what category you feel it needs. Our site is growing and we want to accommodate all service providers and apologize if we currently do not have your category listed.

How do I get notified when someone needs my services?

Subscribe to “Lynk Ad Notifications” in your ServiceLynks account to receive automatic notifications.
